What Makes a Good Life? A Roadmap to Love
At this time in our lives, we need all the inspiration we can find to keep being loving, kind and tender with one another. I will introduce you to my mother, Gusti Kollman, a holocaust survivor who together with my father created a wonderful home in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. She decided that since she had been given the gift of life when so many perished, she had an obligation to never hate, but to put as much love into the world as she could. She had the amazing capacity in spite of all the horrors she experienced, and the loved ones she lost, to live a rich life for 106 1/2 years. Her life offers a road map of how we all can be our best selves to contribute to the world that needs us so badly.
